Owners of pet dogs in the limits of Town Municipal Administration, Rawal Town, Rawalpindi are informed that all pet dogs are to be registered in the precincts of TMA under Punjab Local Government Ordinance, 2001, Schedule Six Section 9 Therefore, all pet dog owners are directed to get registration of their dogs in TMA Rawal Town, Rawalpindi by 30-12-2013 and obtain necessary directions. In this regard they are warned that a fine will be slapped on them under Punjab Local Government Ordinance, 2001, Schedule Eight Section 7 besides legal proceedings will be ithtiated against them under Schedule 4 Part 1, Section 141, Sub Section 2, Pant A whichwill be a fine of Rupees 15000/- and 3 years imprisonment or bOth sentences may be awarded. In view of the increasing incidents of dog bites under instruc-tions of the Government of Punjab Local Government and Community Department, Lahore (Diseases Surveillance & Control Cell) dated: 13-06-2013 in the limits of TMA Rawal Town, Rawalpindi elimination process of stray and mad dogs con-tinues. On registered dogs will be deemed as stray dogs and in case of their elimination TMA will not be responsible.
