Expressions of Interest
1. The Provincial Governinent of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa aims at providing respectable and sustainable livelihood opportunities to its people by establishing a fund of Rs. 2 billion. 2. The Fund is intended to be utilized for providing interest free loans to a segm_ent of the society, which has 'will and vision' to embark upon a viable economic activity but are constrained by the lack of financial resources. 3. It is expected that an effort would be needed to: Identify potential candidates who need interest free loans to start / expand business. Identify and select the targeted area for extending the facility. Evaluate viability of business proposal from potential beneficiaries through sound principles of economics. Disburse the required amount of money to the individuals through group or individuals to take up a viable economic activity. Provide due assistance in translating business idea into a reality. Monitor progression and implementation of a. viable businesS proposal. Affect recovery of the amount of money. Report to the government on effectiveness of [be whole program at regular intervals 4. Hence, it is expected that an institution with the following qualification will be ideal to handle the assignment Has at least 7 years of similar experience of working in micro finance sector specially of succesdully running interest free loans portfolio; Is a member of Pakistan. Center of Philanthropy. Has a Tuitional presaice in terms of geographical experience of handling similar assignments. 5. The Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa seeks Expressions of Interest (E0Is) from micro finance banks, Rural Support Programs and concerned Non Governmental Organizations to execute its Massada - Micro-credit program. 6. Concerned institutions may submit their detailed technical and fimincial plan to the office of the S ecretaiy, Department of Industries, Commerce & Technical Education, Government of Khyber Pakh tunkhwa, Civil Secretariat, latest by December 30, 2013. 7.
