9-point religious code of conduct endorsed 
By Our Correspondent LAHORE: Religious leaders belonging to a group of Mus-lims categorically rejected the demands to implement and legislate on the 15-point code of conduct approved by Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) in mid 90's, but ratified the 9- point code of conduct ex-tracted out of it last week and approved at the meeting of all schools of thought. This was announced by communiqué issued at the conclusion of All Shia Parties Conference here on Friday which was participated by or-ganizations from all over the country, Mad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Media was not allowed in the general session of the conference which was kept in camera, and its decisions were re-leased through the commu-niqué. According to communiqué, the conference announced to reject all such codes of con-duct and attempts to legislate them which were not accom-modative of the accepted reli-gious beliefs, and vowed to
resist such moves. The con-ference announced that all Shias and Sunnis would jointly observe Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) with full force, freedom and preparations and would not tolerate any restriction in this regard. The conference also announced that Shias and Sunnis would also jointly take out Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) processions and reject all ob-structions in this regard. The communiqué con-demned the arrest of innocent people in the wake of Rawalpindi incident and de-manded impartial inquiry into it. It alleged that those caused the outbreak of Rawalpindi incident should be arrested and punished. The communiqué ex-pressed concerns over the killings of innocent people in the country and observed that they were getting disap-pointed with the administra-tive machinery of the state, army and the judiciary, adding that all state institu-tions should take steps for protecting Shia community. The communiqué rejected the
peace negotiations with Tal-iban and condemned those calling terrorists and martyrs. The participants included chief of MWM Allama Nash Abbas Jafri, Amin Shaheedi, Abdul Khaliq Asadi, Jafaria Alliance leader Salman Mujtaba, Shia Action Commit-tee leader Mirza Yusuf, Haz-ara Qaumi Jirga leader Qayyum Changezi, Balochis-tan Shia Council leader Musarrat Hussain, ISO chief Imran Athar, Asgharia Stu-dents Organization leader filen Ali, Shia Sheheryan Paldstan leader Waqar Has-nain Naqvi, Ulema Imamia Punjab leader Hasnain Arif, Majlis Ahle Bait Parachinar leader Baqar Haidri, Tanzim Aza Sindh leader Iftikhar Mehdi, Al-Khomeini Founda-tion leader Ashiq Hussain, Ja-faria Supreme Council Azad Kashmir leader Zeeshan Haider, Azadari Council Kash-mir leader Talib Husain Ham-dani, Huqooq Jafaiia leader Mushta.q Hussain Jafri, Mukhtar Force commander Latif Raza, Baciarul Uloom Gilgit leader All Muhammadi and others.
