PUBLIC NOTICE
Environmental Protection Agency, Sindh notifies that M/s. Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited have submitted Environmental Impact Assessment report for Sewage water treatment plant at Mirpur Mathelo District Ghotki. The proponent planning to treated effluent of this plant to Masuwah Canal subject to compliance of NEQS limit. The sewage treatment plant has the capacity to treat 100 m3/hr of sewage being generated from the Fauji Fertilizer staff colony. The EIA report identifies potential environmental impacts. and provides mitigation measures to minimize the impacts. The general public. stakeholders, experts can pursue / consult the EIA report in the office of the Director General Environmental Protection Agency, Sindh located at: Plot No. ST-2/1 SECTOR-23 KORANGI INDUSTRIAL AREA, KARACHI.
A public hearing will be conducted by EPA Sindh at 10:30 a.m. on the 25th March 2014 at District Council Hall, Mirpur Mathelo.District Ghotki in which the proponent will provide complete detail of the project through presentation. The general public, concerned citizens, civil society organizations and all other stakeholders are requested to attend the Public Hearing. All others who are interested to offer their comments in written may communicate the same to Director General. EPA.
