1. Rawalpindi Development Authority intends to Pre-Qualify Contractors for the following works herein after called the Works: Construction of Rawalpindi Islamabad Metro Bus Project, from I.J.P. Road (Faizabad), 9th Avenue, Jinnah Avenue to Pak Secretariat, Islamabad (L= 14.6 Kms) The Works will be sub-divided into three contract packages for the purpose of construction. 2. The Works are expected to commence in last week of Feb 2014 and will be completed within 10 months. Round-the-Clock construction is envisaged and will be mandatory. 3. Estimated total Project Cost is around PKR 15 Billion. Major items of work involved are Underpasses, Flyovers, Road Work, Drainage, MBS Stations, Electrical Works and Ancil lary Works etc. 4. Pre-qualification is offered to the Contractors / Joint Ventures registered with Pakistan Engineering Council for the year 2014 in category C-A. 5. Contractors interested in receiving Pre-qualification document can obtain the same on payment of Rs. 2,500/- from the office of Deputy Director (Engineering) RDA, on any working day during office hours. 6. The Pre-qualification documents completed in English language must be received by RDA in the office of Deputy Director (Engineering) RDA with acknowledgement by 10.02.2014 during office hours (3:00 p.m.). 7. The decision of the competent authority as to whether or not the applicant is eligible for tenders shall be communicated to all in due course. 8. Applicants will ensure that information being supplied is correct. Pre-qualification of any contractor may be withdrawn at any time if significant errors or false information is found in the document(s) supplied by the contractor. 9. Prequalification of contractors for Metro Bus Project in Rawalpindi area is already in pro cess. 10. The advertisement can also be downloaded from PPRA Website.
