PRE QUALIFICATION OF FURNITURE MANUFACTURERS/SUPPLIERS
As a part of its strategic planning, the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, is presently engaged in developing and expanding its physical facilities including the construction of a New Boys' Hostel phase 2 and Faculty Apartments. The construction work of the New Boys' Hostel phase-2 is about to start in 2 months time. The construction work for faculty apartment is yet to start and may take some time. However, the furniture required for these facilites will be ordered about six months before the completion. The New Girls' Hostel is already completed and we need additional furniture on urgent basis. Applications for pre-qualification are invited from well-established and financially sound furniture manufacturers who are interested in manufacturing and supplying furniture for three buildings. Applicants must have their own well-equipped, sizeable manufacturing facility, factory or workshop located in or close to Karachi. More suppliers/ traders are not eligible to apply. The applicants must also have their own permanently-employed sldlled and experienced workforce in reasonable number. The applicants should have an experience of at least three years in the relevant business and be registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and Sindh Revenue Board. If you are interested and eligible as above, please submit your application on your printed letterhead along with your company profile which must include the following information: 1. Name, office address, working landline (PTCL) telephone and fax numbers as well as a e-mail address. 2. Attested true copies of registration with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and Sindh Revenue Board. 3. A list of your present customers, with a brief description and value of the works/orders in hand. 4. A list and value of the jobs, orders or projects completed since 2008. Give also the tastes and telephone numbers of the contact persons in your customers organizations. 5. Complete address of the location of your workshop or factory, with the details of the workforce, machinery and the equipment. 6. A certificate from your bankers stating that you are financially sound. 7. An affidavit that you have not been involved in any litigation with or blacklisted by any government organization. 8. An affidavit that the information you have submitted with your application is correct and that you have not concealed any relevant information. Applicants are also required to complete and submit IBA's prescribed application form which may be downloaded from IBA's website or picked up personally from the address given below. All applications will be evaluated on the criteria which can also be downloaded from the website. Please send your applications by Registered Post, through a Courier or submit it personally at the following address latest by February 08, 2014. IBA reserves its right to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. Those who applied last year are requested to apply again.
