PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONSULTANT MILITARY ENGINEER SERVICES
Applications for pre-qualification of Firms/Consultant are invited by the HQ DW&CE (Navy) E-8 Sector, Islamabad up to 31 January 2014 from reputed firms/Consultants having vast experience in planning, designing, supervision, surveying, evaluation/Refurbishment of Graving Dock. Terms of Reference (ToR) issued to the pre-qualified firms/consultants are required to be submitted by 11:30 hours on 24 February 2014 and shall be opened on the same date at 12:00 hours:  1. The firms should be capable of offering following services: a. Carry out survey, field work, laboratory testing analytical modelling along with recommendations and proposal for refurbishment of Graving Dock at Karachi. b. Carry out condition assessment to establish the existing condition of complete civil structure, mechanical and electrical machinery/equipment and their fittings in the Dock c. Sufficient detail to ascertain the actual condition of all critical components of the facility. d. To prepare technical report including results of all tests, technical conclusions/recommendations proposing medical/rehabilitations strategy of Graving Dock 2. The following information should be provided: a. Name and address with telephone and Fax Number of the Company/Firm along with Article and Memorandum of Association/Partnership deeds. b. Photocopy of company's registration showing year of establishment c. List of Technical Key personnel with bio-data and their registration with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners and Pakistan Engineering Council. d. List of similar types of job and other projects designed and completed by the company during the last ten year stating location, name of client, covered area and cost of the project. e. List of similar type of jobs being presently executed together with other projects with location, estimated cost and expected date of completion and the name of the client. f. Photocopy of income tax registration certificate. g. Particulars of litigation/arbitration cases in which the firm may have been involved during the last ten years and result thereof. h. Affidavit on non-judicial paper stating that the above-mentioned information is correct. 3. Director of Works & Chief Engineer (Navy) reserves the right to reject any or all the applications in the light of para-33 of PPRA rules-2004. Incomplete application shall not be entertained. 4. Any assistance and detail (if required) may be collected from the office of DW&CE (Navy) Sector E-8 Islamabad OR I, CMES (Navy) COMLOG, lqbal Shaheed Road, Saddar, Karachi during working hours.
