Wapda House Peshawar KPK Tender Notice

1. The Water and Power Development Authority of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (the "Employer") has received a loan from the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) towards the cost of Golen Gol Hydropower Project (Lot —4) and it's intended that part of the proceeds of the loan will be applied to eligible payments under the Contract for the Procurement/Design, Supply, Erection, Stringing, Testing and Commissioning of Golen Gol-Chakdara Transmission Line and Grid Stations. The work under Lot-4 has been divided into two packages (Package-I and Package-II). Present bidding is called for Package-II and is open to all eligible Bidders. The detail of work for Lot-4 (Package-II) is as under:

Package-II
a. Procurement, Design, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of 132 kV D/C Transmission Line from tower location No. GC-145 near Chukia Tan upto 132 kV Timergara Grid Station (32 kms approx.) and connection with 132 kV Timergara Grid Station. b. Procurement, Design, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of 132 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line from 132 kV Timergara Grid Station upto 132 kV Chakdara Grid Station (53 kms approx.) and connection with 132 kV Timergara Grid Station and 132 kV Chakdara Grid Station. c. Conversion of one (1) 132 kV isolated bay to 132 kV line bay and addition of three 132 kV line bays at 132 kV Timergara Grid Station and addition of one (1) 132 kV line bay at 132 kV Chakdara Grid Station as per specifications and drawings d. Construction of 8 Nos. staff quarters at 132 kV Chakdara Grid Station. 2. The Employer invites sealed bids on ICB basis under Single Stage-Two Envelopes Bidding Procedure, from eligible firms or persons licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category relevant to the Work. A foreign Bidder is entitled to Bid only in a Joint Venture with a Pakistani Contractor in accordance with the provisions of PEC by-laws. 3. Bidders may obtain further information from, inspect at and acquire the Bidding Documents from the Office of the Employer, at General Manager (Projects) North WAPDA, WAPDA House, Shami Road, Peshawar, Pakistan, Telephone No. +92-91-9212048, Fax No. +92-91-9212003. 4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by an interested Bidder on submission of a written application to the above office and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only). 5. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount not less than 1% of Bid Price or in an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency, and must be delivered at WAPDA Auditorium, WAPDA House, Shahrah-i-Quaid-i-Azam, Lahore at 1100 hours, on 21.01.2014. Technical Bids will be opened at 1130 hours on the same day and place, in the presence of Bidders representatives who choose to attend.
