Applications are invited by the University of Balochistan for admissions in M.S / M.Phil & Ph.D degree programs in following Departments for the session 2013-2014: 1. Department of Botany 2. Department of Physics, 3. Department of Statistics, 4. Department of Balochi. 5 Balochistan Study Centre, 6. Department of Brahui, 7. Center of Excellence in Mineralogy, 8. Departments of Computer Science (Self Finance). 9. Institute of Management Science (Self Finance). 10 Department of Islamic Studies, 11. Pakistan Study Centre, 12. Department of Pashto, 13. Department of Political Science, 14. Department of Urdu, 15. Department of I.R, 16. Institute of Biochemistry, 17, CASVAD, 18. Department of Chemistry, 19 Department of Mathematics, 20. Department of Geography 21. Department of Microbiology, 22. Departments of Pharmacy. 23. Area Study Centre. 24. Department of English Literature. 25. Department of Persian. 26. Economics (M.Phil only), 27. Department of Zoology Eligibility for M.Phil program i). A candidate seeking admission in M.Phil. (M.S. degree programs in a subject must possess a sixteen years education or 4 year B.A / RS. or equivalent program after FA. / ESc (130 CREDIT HOURS) OR Master degree in the subject / related field except the English Literature from any recognized University / Institution with a minimum of second division (Annual System) or its equivalent CGPA, 3:00 IN Semester System. ii) GAT (General) for all disciplines and GAT (Subject) only for languages test will be necessary for admission in M.Phil./M.S. with the score of 50%. Eligibility for Ph.D program 0 M.Phil. / M.S. degree in the subject from any recognized University with 30 credit hours at-least. ii) A foreign degree which is equivalent to Pakistani M.Phil. / M.S. degree from any recognized University I Institution (Equivalence will be required), iii)A minimum of 18 years of education schooling (M.S.) iv)The candidates must pass subject GRE (International) / GAT (Subject) Test with a minimum score of 60% for admission in PhD. In discipline/s where this test is not available, the test will be developed locally (by the university). OTHER CONDITIONS I) Maximum age limit for University Teachers / Employees for M.Phil is 46 years and for Ph.D is 48 years.II) M.Phil. / M.S. degree program will be open to all who meet the admission criteria. However, serving candidates will have to submit N.O.C. from their respective Department with the application form. A study leave document from their respective employer for a period of two years has to be submitted at the time of registration. The candidate wilbe a full time regular student for two years to cover the course work. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS Applications should be submitted together with attested four copies of all educational certificates, detail marks certificates, Local/Domicile certificate, C.N.l.0 etc. Application forms along with M.Phil / PhD regulations can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar (Planning) on payment of Rs.1000/- through challan of Habib Bank Limited University Branch Quetta. The complete applications/forms will have to be deposited in relevant Department/Institute/Center. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
