INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Environment Department, Government of Sindh, has been consistently striving for the promotion of a pristine and clean environment in Sindh and has achieved noteworthy milestone in this quest. However, the shortage of technical capacity and strength is a big obstacle in streamlining the Environmental Protection Agency, Sindh to improve its laws and procedures, and to develop a meaningful development portfolio. Thus, we are looking forward to engage Consultants to help us, through Development Scheme, namely "Establishment of Planning & Monitoring Cell in Environment Program". The scope of work for consultant firm will be as follows:- , Prepare environmental policy to deal with climate change and other related subject in Sindh along with rational and result-oriented action plans. Review and revise legislations in the filed of environment. Formulate Standard Operating Procedures for monitoring of industries, municipal agencies and other sectors for Environmental Protection Agency, Sindh. Prepare Manuals / Guidelines for various sectors like Industry, Municipal Agencies, Transportation and Developmental activities, for compliance of Environmental laws. Survey and assess the Environmental Situation in Sindh, in order to prepare a Development Portfolio for the Environment Department in close coordination with all the stakeholders. Render professional assistance in Planning, Controlling, Monitoring. Implementing and Evaluation of the Development Schemes. The Environment Department located at Plot No. ST-211, Sector-23, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi invites Expression of Interest from Consultants / Consultant Firms, well experienced in the policies and issues pertaining to environment. Interested Consultant / Firms may submit their Expression of Interest along with details including:-Company Profile Human Resources Financial Position Experience of development projects pertaining to environment Experience of formulating policies, legislation. and Standard Operating Procedures in environment. The consultants will be shortlisted in accordance with provisions of the SPPRA Rules-2010. The RFP (Request for Proposal) will be issued to shortlisted consultants only. The Procuring Department reserves the rights to accept or reject any E01 for shortlisting of the consultants. All provisions regarding rejection of offer and announcement of the evaluation would be strictly done in accordance with the provisions of the said rules.
