REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS For feasibility study for establishment of University of Technical Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ADP#754 (2013-2014)
We Are: Directorate General Technical Education and Manpower Training :[DG TE&MT] is a sub sector of Department of Industry, Commerce and Technical Education, Govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Directorate is responsible for promotion and provision of demand driven technical, commerce education and vocational training to the youth of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to present and future industrial needs. DG TE&MT is responsible for the management and operations of 11 govern-ment colleges of technology, 14 governnemt polytechnic insti-tutes, 58 government technical & vocationthscenters and 23 gov-ernment colleges of management science in the province and the duration of courses varies from 3 months to master levels. Directorate General Technical Education and Manpower Training is interested to engage an Institute / Consulting firm for conducting feasibility study for establishment of Khyber Palchtunkhwa University of Technology. Specific Frosts of the Consultant: Conduct feasibility study for establishment of 1Chyber Pakhtunkhwa University of Technology as per HEC standards. Study the existing system Of Technical Education and devise mechanism to bring under the umbrella of proposed university. Smdy & assess the local, national and international requirements and suggest a workable plan to meet the mark-el requirements and bring the system at par with the international standard. Preparation of viable strategic plan covering, its functioning. mechanisms, road map, laws / bylaws etc. Option of feasible site(s) for establishment of the proposed university. Who may apply? An institute / consulting firm may apply if fuLfill the following min-imum requirements: The consultant 1 consulting firm should be registered consultant with any govt authority like Pakistan Engineering Council, society act, companies act etc with an NTN number. The consultant will provide the copy of valid registration to this department as a proof. The consultant / consulting firm should have recognized experience of conducting feasibility studies for establishment of universities specially engineering / technical universities in the last five years. The consultant / consulting firm will provide NTN along with the income tax certificate, showing they have paid tax for the previous financial year. The consultant / consulting firm will provide the audit report for the previous financial year of any registered and recognized auditor of government of Pakistan. A public institute / university, which has experience in such studies, will be given priority. They may also provide the required docutnents as per govertiment rules. A private institute / university may also apply but they will provide the relevant document as required for consultants.
