The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) was established as an autonomous body under Chartered Accountants Ordinance, 1961 (the Ordinance). ICAP strives to promote professional excellence, provide best services to its members, students and other stakeholders and safeguard public interest. 1. DIRECTOR — TECHNICAL SERVICES (Karachi)
The Director Technical Services (DTS) is the Head of the Technical Services Department of the Institute and leads a team of professionals responsible for the overall technical functions of the Institute.This role inter aka includes review of International Accounting and Auditing Standards for adoption, development of local standards and technical releases, technical input on matters relating to taxation and other fiscal laws, communicating with standard setters internationally, and responding to members' queries. The candidate would also ensure co-ordination between various Committees of the Institute working on professional matters and coordination with the regulators.
The DTS reports administratively to the Secretary/COO and functionally to the Chairmen of the Technical Committees.
This is a Senior Management role therefore the ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant along with minimum of 10 years of experience. Preference will be given to the candidate with experience of working with Chartered Accountancy firm having a research oriented environment, and are interested in pursuing career in a professional institute.
2. SENIOR MANAGER — LEGAL & MEMBERSHIP AFFAIRS (Karachi)
The Senior Manager will be responsible for handling all legal, membership and corporate matters of the Institute, including coordinating with legal advisors and dealing with legal cases, and provide assistance in secretarial matters relating to various meetings of the Council and other Committees of the Institute. The candidate would provide support in keeping effective and efficient liaison with regulatory bodies
The incumbent will report to the Executive Director Legal and Membership Affairs.
The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant/Law Graduate along with minimum 5 years of experience in handling legal matters and liaison with regulatory bodies. Candidate should possess excellent legal and drafting skills.
 
3. SENIOR MANAGER — PUBLICATIONS (Karachi)
The Senior Manager will be responsible for Editorial development of ICAP publications, and scheduling and production of publications.
The incumbent will report to the Director Marketing and Communications.
The ideal candidate must be Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication/ Economics/MBA along with minimum 10 years of experience in reporting, writing and editing in the areas of business, commerce and economy. An understanding of publishing production is also required. Preference will be given to the individual with experience of publications in reputable newspapers and journals.
 
4. MANAGER - EDUCATION (One Position for Lahore and Two Positions for Karachi)
The Manager will be involved in students' affairs and co-ordination with Training Organizations, ICAP registered Tutors and Universities, assist in development of study packs, and educational research and development.
The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant along with minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience and/or MBA from a leading university along with minimum 5-6 years of post-qualification experience with a professional firm of accountancy or leading educational institute.The candidate must have flair for education and research, and have good knowledge of ISAs/IFRS.
 
5. MANAGER - FINANCE & ACCOUNTS (Karachi)
The Manager will be responsible to assist the CFO in all financial matters, and reports to the CFO.
The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant along with minimum 2-3 years of post qualification experience in finance; planning and budgeting. The candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient financial reporting procedures and systems.The candidate must possess excellent analytical skills.
6. MANAGER - INTERNAL AUDIT (Karachi)
The position will be responsible to assist Head of Audit in developing, organizing and implementing risk based Internal Audit program, and to evaluate information security and associated risk exposures. The candidate must be Chartered Accountant along with 2-3 years post qualification experience and CISA Certification.
 
7. ASSISTANT MANAGER - ADMINISTRATION (Karachi)
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for the overall building maintenance, renovation, and safety and security of the building. The candidate must be Graduate along with rich experience in handling all administrative matters. 8. E-GRAPHIC DESIGNER (SR.OFFICER) — PUBLICATIONS (Karachi) The E-Graphic Designer must have a certificate in Graphic Designing from a reputed institute along with 2-3 years of working experience in publication. Experience of In-house publication designing and exceptional proficiency in visual design is required. The candidate must be proficient in Graphical tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
