WAPDA, an Autonomous Body/Federal Institution, besides planning and constructing a number of new mega Hydel Projects, owns and operates 17 Hydel Power Stations having installed a capacity of 6,751 MW. In order to meet the foreign funding shortfall of its mega Hydropower Projects, WAPDA is contemplating to engage a financial institution to act as a Financial Advisor/Lead Manager for the financing with or without GOP guarantee up to USD 600 million fonts mega Hydropower Projects. The financing facility may not involve Risk insurance. Al International/Local reputed financial institutions are invited to work as the Financial Advisor/Lead Manager to structure and submit their proposals along with the Term Sheets setting out detailed indicative Terms of the Facility. The proposals along with the term Sheets for the purpose should be furnished to WAPDA by February 28th, 2014. Salient terms and requirements of the Facility for Selection/ Appointment of Financial Institution as the Financial Advisor/ Lead manager of the Transaction has been provided on WAPDA's website: www.wapda.gov.pk/
