ADMISSION TO M.Phil/Ph.D
IN EDUCATION PROGRAMME SPRING 2014 Applications are invited on the prescribed form for admission to the M.Phil/Ph.D in Education Programme of the Institute.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR M.PHIL IN EDUCATION
Master's Degree in Education or equivalent (16 years of Education) with First Division or CGPA 2.5/4.0 from an H EC recognized university. Applicant should have qualified GAT (General) conducted by NTS (Visit www.nts.org.pk for test dates.) All candidates will also have to qualify admission test and interview conducted by the Institute.
NOTE
Candidates having Master Degree or equivalent in other relevant Social and Natural Science disciplines (detail given in the prospectus) are also eligible to apply for admission to M.Phil in Education.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR Ph.D IN EDUCATION
M.Phil/M.S/Equivalent degree in Education with First Division or CGPA 3.0/4.0 from an HEC recognized university. • Applicant should have qualified GAT (Subject-Education) test conducted by NTS. • The candidates will also have to qualify admission test and interview conducted by the Institute.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Prospectus and prescribed application form will be available from February 06, 2014 from the office of the Institute on payment of Rs. 300/- in person or through mail by sending a crossed postal order/demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of the Director IER, Lahore. Detailed information about the mode of application, eligibility requirements, admission criteria, number of seats, dues, registration rules etc. is available in prospectus. Application complete in all respects must reach the office of the Institute by 4:00 pm on 28-02-2014. Late application shall not be entertained. In-service candidates must route their applications through proper channel.
ADMISSION TEST AND INTERVIEW SCHEDULE
• Admission test will be held on March 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Institute. No separate intimation will be sent for test/interview. The list of candidates eligible for admission test will be displayed on the Notice Board at the Institute on March 6, 2014 at 04:00 pm. • Only those candidates would be called for interview who will qualify the test. The test result will be announced on March 17, 2014. The interview will be held on March 18-20,2014. • No TA/DA will be paid for test/interview. SPL# 1180
