CAVEAT EMPTOR We act for The Bank of Punjab (hereinafter referred to as "BOP"), and upon its instructions issue the following notice for the general public. Whereas, against the securities, interalia, a guarantee of Paragon City (Pvt.) Ltd. Mr. Nadeem Zia S/0 Ziauddin Pirzada availed financial accommodation from BOP to the tune of Rs. 200.00 Million.
It is highlighted that a default was committed in the payment of the aforementioned liabilities, hence a suit COS No. 162/2009 was filed and the same has been decreed against Nadeem Zia, Paragon City (Pvt.) Ltd. and others for a sum of Rs. 308,143,062/- as on 30.092013 vide decree dated 14.02.2013; and the execution thereof is subjudice qua Execution application No. 1B/2014 at Lahore High Court. Under the circumstance, it is brought into the notice of public at large that by virtue of section 23 of Financial Institution (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001 that all the judgment debtors including Nadeem Zia, Paragon City (Pvt.) Ltd. and others have been barred to transfer, alienate, encumber or part with possession of any assets or properties without the prior permission of Lahore High Court, and any such transfer, alienation, encumbrance or other disposition by any Judgment debtor shall be void and of no legal effect. It is, therefore, warned for the benefit of general public that if any person, company, partnership concern, financial institutions, government bodies and/or local authorities, whatsoever enters into any deal for the purchase of any properties from the Judgment Debtors directly or through their attorney will do so at his own risk and costs, and any such transaction will be void and of no legal affect under the law.
