Highway Division Peshawar invites sealed bids from the regis-tered contractors / firms who have renewed their registration with Communication & Works Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the year 2013-14 for the following work:-Name of work Construction of Approach roar! of OPF Housing scheme Butlhni Kt rad 1.75 Knit. Peshawar ADP # 333 / 130419 (2013-14). TERMS & CONDITIONS: I. Tender forms and 130Q can be downloaded from now till one day prior to opening of the tenders from C&W Department Website at the following address: www.cwdegkp.pk. The following documents shall accompany the bidding documents:-(a) Photocopy of updated renewal of registration in C&W epartment (attested). (b) Photocopy of registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) valid up to December 2013-14 (Attested). (c) Photocopy of National Identity Card of the contractor or his authorized representative (attested). (d) Cost of tender form documents (Non refundable) should be paid in the separate Govt Account budget head G-10408, PWD Remittance in the concerned branch of National Bank of Pakistan and receipt (original) must be attached with the tender form. (e) Photocopy of income tax statement and NTN certificate (attested). (1) The person whose name exists in Form -14 (Partnership deed) will only be entitled to sign the tender form, BOQ and other contract docunaents. No proxy will be allowed to participate in the bidding. 7. 2% Earnest money along with stamp duty as mentioned against the work shall reach in the shape of Call Deposit from a scheduled bank in the name of Executive Engineer Highway Division Peshawar and which shall accompany the tender documents (in original). 3. The bidders are required to send their bids in original & duplicate through courier (in two separate) envelopes clearly marked as original and duplicate. The original shall be sent to the Executive Engineer Highway Division Peshawar and the duplicate to Superintending Engineer C&W Circle Peshawar. 4. Sealed bids will be opened at 12:30 p.m on the next day to the last date of submission of application tender in the presence of the bidder or their authorized representatives. 5. The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject ail), one or reject au the tenders without assigning any reason. The delay and delivery of the tender docurnents will be the responsibility of the bidders. 6. The tender rate is valid up to 90 days. 7. Contractors having Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) 2013 with category road and CE-01 can apply and must be presented on the tender opening day. 8. The contractor has to pay by himself the wst of testing of every kind of material as per the orders and directions of the Engineer Incharge. 9. The estimated cost of the work is based on MRS-2013. 10. The bids less than 10% below the Engineers estimate will be rejected and not considered. The bidders, who offer bid of exactly 10% below the engineer estimate, Will deposit 8% additional Security in the shape of call deposit in the name of Executive Engineer Highway Division Peshawar within 03 days of the opening of bids. In case of failure in depositing the additional sum by the due date, the 2% earnest money already deposited by him will be forfeited in favour of Gov't: and the 2nd lowest bidder (& so on) will be considered for bid and will be asked for submission of 8% additional security within 03 days. in case of failure his 2% earnest money already deposited by him will be forfeited in favour of government. 11 I. The Cost of Tender From @ Rs. 0.05% of the estimated cost will he deposited in the National Bank of Pakistan which shall be accompanied with the tender documents (in original). 12. Only call deposit of scheduled banks or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be acceptable. Bids shall be done on item rate system. Bidder should fill their own rate, amount in the blank column against each item of BOQ. In case no rate is filled against any item, the same will have to be executed by the contractor at his own cost as per specifications. Further first 2 decimal digits will be considered for evaluation. Tender or call deposit received through fax or by hand will not be acceptable. 14.
