Sr. No. Post Discipline Eligibility Requirements 1. Professor (BPS-21) Zoology Qualification Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field. Experience 15-years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. OR 10-years Post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. • Publications The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in NEC recognized journals. • Age 40-55 years 2. Associate Professor (BPS-20) 1. Education 2. Islamiyat 3. Botany 4. English • Qualification PhD in the relevant field from an EEC recognized University/Institution • Experience 10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization OR 5-years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization • Publications The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals). • Age 35-50 years 3. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) 1. Education • Qualification PhD from HEC recognized institution in the relevant field. OR Master's degree (foreign) or MPhil (Pakistan) or equivalent after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from HEC recognized university/institution with 4 years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized university or a post-graduation institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. • Age 26-45 years 4. Chief Engineer (BPS-19) • Qualification First Class B.Sc. Engineering Degree (Civil) or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution. • Experience 10-years relevant experience • Age 35-55 years
Note: Experience, where prescribed, would include equivalent experience, in a profession or in the service of an autonomous or semi-autonomous organization or private organization gained after acquiring the basic requisite qualification for the post. General Information I. Degrees only from HEC recognized universities/degree awarding institutions will be considered. 2. Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Registrar or may be downloaded from the web: www.ue.edu.pk.  3. Application with complete bio-data and attested relevant documents along with bank draft/postal order/Challan form of Rs. 1000/- payable to the Treasurer, University of Education, Lahore should reach the office of the Registrar, on the prescribed form by 10-03-2014. 4. The candidates applying for the posts of Professor/Associate Professor should submit six copies of applications along with six complete sets of testimonials/research work/publications/ certificate of any distinction etc., on the prescribed form. 5. Incomplete applications will not be accepted or applications received after due date will not be accepted. 6. Candidates presently working in Government, Semi Government and Autonomous Bodies should send their applications through proper channel only. 7. Relaxation in upper age limit may be granted to suitable candidates as per rules. 8. Only short-listed candidates will be invited for interview. No TA/DA will be admissible. 9. The Selectees will be liable to serve in any Campus/Division of the University of Education, Lahore. 10. The quota for disable perions and minorities will be observed as per rules. II.
