All exporters / importers of Precious Metal, Jewelry and Gemstones are informed that the new registration system under SRO 760(1)/2013, dated 2nd September, 2013 shall be implemented from 24th January, 2014. The old registration system under SRO 266 shall become redundant from 23td January, 2014. Exporters / importers will not be able to export / import Precious Metals. Gold Jewelry and Gemstones with previous given registration number. New Registration Certificate / Passbook(s) is mandatory for all imports and exports from 24th January, 2014. Following documents are required so that TDAP offices all over Pakistan may issue new registration numbers, Certificate / Passbook(s) in order to regulate the import and export of Precious Metals, Jewelry and Gemstones Order, 2013:- 1. Previous registration of existing exporters / importers of Precious Metals and Gemstones shall stand cancelled w.e.f. January 23, 2014. New registration of exporters as mentioned above shall be made by TDAP on submission of application through
i) Company's letterhead vi) Address of dealing bank ii) NTN Certificate vii) Fee for Registration Form: Rs: 5000 (non-refundable) iii) Sales Tax Registration viii) Fee for Registration: As 25,000 (non-refundable) iv) Copy of CNIC ix) Jewelry Passbook(s) will be valid for 3 years. After 3 years v) Permanent mailing address of Company TDAP will renew the registration on payment of renewal fee of Rs. 15000/-.
Note: All payments should be made by Bank Draft in the name of Accounts Officer EMDF TDAR Karachi. 2. Condition of membership with association is done away with. Any exporter can now get registered without being member of any Gems & Jewelry Association. 3. On registering with TDAP. color coded Passbook(s) shall be issued with separate individual number allocated for each exporters / importers on which all import / export authorizations will be made authenticated by TDAP, Banks and Customs.
