Sindh Coal Authority has received funds from Province for the Project cited above with Scope, Estimate Cost and other details are as under: Scope: The Government of Sindh, Coal and Energy Development, Department is taking steps to provide enabling infrastructure to generate power/energy from the Coal, which is a natural gift available in mass quantity in the desert area of the Tharparkar District the Province of Sindh. In order to initiate mining activity in Thar, there is need of appropriate sized effluent disposal system. It has been assessed that bottom aquifer will involve disposal and pumping of about 25-30 cusecs from mine of size 6.5 metric Ton Per Annum (MTPA). In addition, 5-7 cusecs of effluent shall also be generated by power plant of the size of 1000 MW. Thus, it is expected that Thar coalfields require a robust effluent disposal system for disposal of at least 50 cusecs of effluent. I. Project Completion Period: 050 10 Months. II. Bidding Process: National Competitive Bidding (NBC). ). Eligibility: • Valid Registration with relevant Tax authorities and Pakistan Engineering Council in "No Limit" (C-A) Category of Constructor and Operator in relevant category including CE09 (mandatory). The firm shall be having preferred experience in Saline Water Management including Pressure Pipe line, heavy pumping and Allied Works and Operation and Maintenance of Water Management. >. Pre-qualification documents: Interested National (Local) firms/contractors can obtain the pre-qualification documents from the address mentioned below on payment of non-refundable fee of Pak Rs. 20,000/- in the shape of Pay Order or Demand Draft in the name of Director General, Sindh Coal Authority. >. Deadline of Issuance of Documents: Documents will be issued to interested firms up to 29th January, 2014 during office hours. Deadline of Submission: Documents duly filled and attached with relevant certificates must reach the address mentioned herein below on or before 30th January, 2014 up to 1500 hours and will be opened on same day at 1600 hours in the presence of intending firms/organizations.
