The Government of Sindh has applied for a credit from the International Development Association and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payment under the contract for Sindh Agricultural Growth Project (Livestock Component) to perform the services of Consulting Firm/Services for farmer training and technical assistance in dairy value chain. The firm's scope encompasses provide inputs for initial activities: baselines, assessments of stakeholders, innovation platform formation and other related activities to be done at the start of the project.  Partake in discussions with partners and advise Project Management Unff (PMU) on its accountable areas. Provide technical support for the Project staff and other stakeholders a identify strategic intervention plans for Dairy Value Chains by identifying and understanding in the process key operational policy issues affecting the Dairy Value Chain at regional and milks shed levels.  Access all Dairy Value Chain activities and design ways for replication and up-scaling in the selected areas specifically Diary Business Hub, support to business in production assistance in milk chillers installation, dairy community awareness and milk marketing etc.  Give technical support and guidance on dairy business hub establishment operation to chest organizations.  Assess progress on sector projects: support to institutions, associations, MPGs, stakeholder platforms and see their continuation to the five year project.  Assess the condition of dairy sector association and advise on how best to include them in the project, assess their gaps and design capacity development programs.  Design ways on collaborating with dairy sector institutes working on quality, sector support, consumer protection etc. and advise on optimum ways of incorporating in the program.  Give inputs on farmer/producer group organization and the, smooth engagement in dairy value chain given inputs on engagement of the private sector across the dairy value chain.  Given input on partnership and capacity building of dairy community through seminar / workshop / farmers days / hands on training / demonstration on livestock management, nutrition, disease control, modern dairy farming, breed improvement other rnatters related to enhancement of livestock production.  The Livestock & Fisheries Department, Government of Sindh, through the Project Director, PMU Sindh Agriculture Growth Project (Livestock Component) now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested firms must provide information that they are qualified to perform the Services. Expressions of Interest (E0) are invited from the firms having sound relevant experience in Government organizations along with the following information documents.  Detail of similar works cornpleted by the firms during last five (05) years and similar works in hand, indicating total cost of such work and cost of constancy services received against those works along with date of start and completion or expected date of completion.  A certificate/affidavit that the firm is not black listed by any Government / Autonomous Body. Any other information. Consultant / Organization may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications, Procurement will be cornpleted following the Selection Based on Consultants Qualification in accordance with paragraph 3.7 of World Bankis Guidelines Selection and employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits( & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011).
