Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) is an initiative of Govemment of the Punjab set up in collaboration with the Department for International Development UK. It aims to improve income generation opportunities and reduce poverty in Southern Districts of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Vehari and Khanewal by enabling skills development through promotion of a competitive skills training market. PSDF invites Expressions of Interest for the provision of skills and vocational training for the residents of Seven Districts mentioned above. The potential Training Service Providers can be: • Formal Training Institutes registered with any notional/ international accredited testing & certifying agency. Attaining institute will be deemed to be for inal if it is registered / affiliated with any controlling and/or ceilification authority such as TEVTA, Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE), National Training Bureau (NTB), City and Guilds, Edexcel or any other similar legally authorized national / international certifying body. • Public Sector Training Institutes. • HEC recognized universities. • Training Institutes set up by employers which are not registered but regularly conduct technical /vocational training courses. • Legal entities can also apply if they or their consortium partner have their own training setup for the proposed trades. The Training Provider should be registered with relevant Government Department or Regulatory Authority, must have NTN and Audited Financial Statement for last one year (FY 2011-12 or 2012-13) issued by ICAP licensed Chartered Accountant (Public / Government institutions have exemption of this condition). It may have its own training facilities or in case of a consortium, its partners must have training facilities.

PSDF aims to engage multiple skills Training Providers to meet the overall target number of trainees. Training Providers will be responsible for, (a) providing training in any trade from the list of courses / qualifications listed in E01 or those similar trainings for which testing / certification can be arranged by Training Service Provider through national or international accredited testing agency, (b) selecting tile trainees and (c) providing post-training support. The duration of skills training under the scheme is expected to be three months, six months or twelve months. Service Providers may select trainees from one or more of the above mentioned Districts with no minimum restriction on the number of trainees to be proposed by each organization. The training can be delivered inside or outside the target Distncts. Training Providers will be engaged following Duality and Cost Based Selection (OCBS) methodology as approved by PSDF Board of Directors keeping in view geographical, sectorial and gender coverage.
