Expression of Interest for "Vulnerability Assessment of MIS and IT systems"
Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is the Had institution for community-driven development lathe country. Its sponsored by the Government of Pakistan as a private sector, not-for-profit entity. PPAF acts as a catalyst for improving quality of life, broadening economic opportunities for the poor and disadvantaged. As a wholesaling intermediary, PPAF funds multi-sector civil society/private sector organizations for provision of financial/non-financial services, at the grassroot level. A new PPAF MIS is in place with the object of streamlining business operations, processes and functions. Tresaess:m es nrrtieonft wth:1 cSaa edgattiendill,Te Vote; sgathree phases: m ° es The objective of this consultancy is to carry out following tasks: Phase1: Independently carry out vulnerabilities assessment of MIS and IT and provide report Phase 2: Review the results with Management Phase 3: Undertake measures agreed with management to eliminate the vulnerabilities Phase 1: a) Identify Internal and External threats to the MIS. b) Evaluate current Access Control parameters and their effectiveness. c) Run Network penetration tests to find out loop holes. d) Thoroughly observe communications between Clients to Servers and vice versa to identify possible threats. e) Identify minimum security parameters for clients 1) Review of IT policy and IT security policy and development of SOPs for IT Infrastructure based on best security policies. Phase 2: Review the results with Management Phase 3 may include along with other measures identified through assessment: • Develop Port level security and Network Performance Monitoring mechanisms to avoid security breaching attempts. • Devise a mechanism for backing up MIS database and application at transactional level and quick restoration of the same in minimum time. • Review the existing backup and disaster recovery practices and advise according to the best practices in the world. PPAF invites eligible consultant firm (s) to submit their Expression of Interest. Consultant firms will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in World Bank Procurement Guidelines.
