INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION
Contract No PWD/S.E/BLOGS(N)/1213003 The Physical Planning & Housing Department has been entrusted by the Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir and provided funds from the special Development Package of Federal Government to finance the cost of Construction of AJK Medical College at Muzaffarabad Azad Jammu & Kashmir to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Pre-qualification is issued. Note: Invitation for Pre-Qualification published vide No. AJK129-D in News Paper Daily Nawa-e-Waqt dated 26th December 2013, Daily The News and Daily Dawn dated 25th December has been cancelled. The Physical Planning & Housing Department GoAJK through Chief Engineer PP&H-North hereinafter the Employer intends to prequalify constructors for the following Works under this project: Construction of Medical College at Muzaffarabad Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

. It is expected that Invitation to Bid will be issued by last week of April 2014.
. Pre-qualification is open to constructors who are registered with PEC in Category C 1 (specialization Code CE10) and above for Construction and Operation of Engineering works duly endorsed in PWD AJK, described in Para 2 mentioned hereinabove. Applications may be submitted for pre-qualification for the above mentioned detailed works (as a whole one project). Appropriate category PEC registered constructors may obtain the prequalification documents from Office of Superintending Engineer PWD Buildings/ Reconstruction Circle, Ground Floor Block-H District Headquarter Complex Muzaffarabad. Ph. 05822 920069, Fax 05822 920082 or may request to send the same through mail at the specified address till February 20, 2014. • The request must clearly state "Request for Pre-qualification Documents" for Construction of AJK Medical College at Muzaffarabad Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The documents are available for a non-refundable fee of PKR 10000/-. The documents if requested by mail will be promptly dispatched by registered mail for which cost of mail i.e. PKR 11000/- will be borne by the Applicant, however, under no circumstances the Employer will be responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents so mailed. • A minimum requirement for pre--qualification will be to have successfully completed at least one similar nature of works in any one of the preceding ten years. • Applications for Pre-qualification must be delivered in sealed envelopes by hand or through registered mail, to: Office of Superintending Engineer PWD Buildings/Reconstruction Circle, Ground Floor Block-H District Headquarter Complex Muzaffarabad. Only the firms or constructors and joint ventures prequalified under this process will be invited to bid.
