USE OF NON STANDARD/ NO TYPE APPROVED BY PTA CELLULAR MOBILE SETS
To protect the interest of customers, PTA has started type approval of mobile phones under Section 29 of Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-Organization) Act. 1996 Manufactures and Authorized Importers,/ Distributors of Cellular Mobile Phones have already been directed to approach PTA for obtaining Type approval of Cellular Mobile Phones.
Customers of mobile phones are requested to avoid use of non standard handsets i.e. without genuine IMEI and PTA's Type Approval. Please be cautioned that use of non standard mobile handsets may lead to legal implications if ills misused.
