The Bank of Punjab is one of the leading banks with a large network of branches including Islamic Banking Branches across Pakistan. The Bank is looking for high caliber, experienced, self-motivated and well-groomed professionals for the following positions in Head Office as well as in Branches to expand portfolio of Islamic Banking:
Branch Managers: The incumbent will be responsible to manage the overall affairs of the Branch. He/she should possess excellent sales & marketing skills and the ability to: • Strengthen deposit base of the Bank specifically through marketing Islamic Banking Products. • Possess good knowledge of Islamic Mode of Financing. • Have the ability to manage and lead a team in order to achieve Business Targets effectively & efficiently. Develop a versatile customer base. Qualification: At least graduate. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA degree or having an equivalent qualification from HEC recognized universities and additional certifications in Islamic Banking. Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking Branches including at least 2 years of experience as Branch Manager. Age: Preferably less than 40 years. Branch Operations Managers: The ideal candidate will be responsible for Brach Operations. Major responsibilities shall include but will not be limited to the following: • Smooth running of branch operations according to operational procedures of the Bank and guidelines provided by SBP. • Provision of excellent services to our valued customers. Qualification: At least graduate. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA degree or having an equivalent qualification from HEC recognized universities. Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking Branches including at least 2 years of experience as Branch Operations Manager. Age: Preferably less than 35 years. Operations Support Officers (Head Office Level): Major responsibilities shall entail but will not be limited to the following: • Liaison with other Divisions/Departments of the Bank. • Maintain Management Information Systems of Islamic Banking Division. • Provide administrative support to the Division. Qualification: At least graduate from HEC recognized universities. Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of banking experience in similar capacity. Age: Preferably less than 30 years. Shariah Audit Officer (Head Office Level): Shariah Audit Officer should be able to perform internal financial and risk management audits and provide support to external financial audits of Islamic Banking Operations. Other major responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Develop audit plans for Islamic Banking and ensure its timely completion and submission of audit findings. • Responsible to establish Shariah Audit Programs with the objective of providing standardized and proper guidance in auditing Islamic products, operations and activities. • Review and recommend improvement/enhancement of internal controls and risk management processes. Qualification: At least graduate. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA degree or having an equivalent qualification from HEC recognized universities. Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking with at least 2 years of experience as Shariah Audit Officer. Age: Preferably less than 35 years. Shariah Compliance Officer (Head Office Level): The incumbent should possess adequate knowledge of Islamic Banking Operations, Policies and Procedures. Should have the ability of effective monitoring of compliance by all stake holders. The eligibility criteria for selection will be as follows: Qualification: At least graduate. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA degree or having an equivalent qualification from HEC recognized universities. Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking Operations with at least 2 years of experience as Shariah Compliance Officer. Age: Preferably less than 40 years. Pool Manager (Head Office Level): Pool Manager will be mainly responsible for: • Management of Demand of Deposits and Offer Rate of the Bank and maintain Special Pool Weightages. • Check on the Deposit Limits of the Deposited amount. • Collection of related data from Branches, Islamic Treasury and it's working. • Handling Statutory Liquidity Reserve requirements & CRR of the Bank. • Any other task related to Pool Management issues. Qualification: At least graduate. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA degree or having an equivalent qualification from HEC recognized universities. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking with at least 2 years of experience in Pool Management. Age: Preferably less than 35 years.
