GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB FOOD DEPARTMENT TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders are invited from the manufacturers/suppliers of P.P bags in the name of Secretary Food/Procuring Agency, Government of the Punjab. Food Department, Civil Secretariat, Lahore for the supply of Polypropylene woven bags of 50 kg capacity as per specifications given below. according to Punjab Procurement Rules, 2009 and any other additional conditions:-

Drop Strength: The bag filled with 50Kg wheat should be able to withstand without burstinwatleast 6 drops from a height of 16 feet when dropped flat. Printing: Printing design as approved will be printed on one side of the bag in single colour. Printing Ink: Non, fading water proof ink should be used. Packing: 1000 bags in one bale wrapped in new polypropylene woven fabrics. UV Stabilizer: 0.35%
OTHER CONDITIONS: 1 Participating firms shall offer their bids at least 5% of the tendered quantity. 2 The participating firms must be registered with the Sales Tax and InCome Tax Departments. Tenders should be submitted by the firth along.with the Sales Tax Registration Certificates from the Sales Tax Department. 3 All tenderers should attach 2% earnest money (refundable) in the shape of Call Deposit/Bank Draft of the total value of the offered quantity in favour of Secretary Food, Punjab/Procuring Agency. However, the earnest money will be refunded to the bidders after placing order with the successful bidders. 4 'the bags should bear stenciled mark as "PB. FOOD DEPARTMENT 2014-15" with two green strips of one inch each to run lengthwise on right corner of bag start from top of bag upto back top of bag alongwith initial or name of the supplying firm. The bags without Marka and strips as mentioned above will not be acceptable and if such bags are found in the bales, the same shall be replaced. orpat-.ment for such bags shall not be made. 6 The payment of carriage/un-loading/stacking charges at consignee's end Will be the responsibility of the supplier. 7 Each page of the tender documents i.e. tender form will be signed by the tenderer alongwith name and rubber stamp. 8 Analysis report from any state owned 'Laboratory/Institute or any other laboratory nominated by the Senior Technical Officer will be acceptable.. •9 Offer will be valid for 60-days from the date of opening of tender. 10 Tenders may be submitted in duplicate in single envelop containing, separately, financial proposal and technical proposal under rule 36(0 of PPRA Rules, 2009. In the first envelop specifications would be given whereas in the second envelop rates would be offered. If specifications do not conform to the specifications given by the department, offer will not be considered. P In case of International tenderersihnporters, they wi I I q (tote their rates in Pakistan currency inclusive of all taxes/duties to be levied by the Government. 13 The contract as a whole should be governed by the terms and conditions as laid down in the Punjab Procurement Rules, 2009. 14 The date of receipt of tender form will start from the date of publication of tender notice. Last date for submission of tender form will be 20.01.2014 at 11.00 AM. The tenderers who can not submit their tenders personally should submit their tenders through courier services or through registered post ensur-ing their receipt before the closing of tenders submission time. All the bids should be submitted alongwith five samples of bags otherwise the offer will not considered. 15 Tenders will be Opened in the Committee.Room of Food Department, in the presence.of tenderers or their representatives on 20.01.2014 at 11.30 AM. 16 The Procuring Agency may reject all bids or proposals at any: time prior to thestweeptance of a bid or proposal.
