The Higher Education Commission is inviting EOls from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for "Prime Ministers (National) Programme for Provision of Laptops to Talented Students". Approximately 125.000 Laptops/ Convertible Laptops (including 25,000 Laptops for the scheme of Government of Punjab through Higher Education Department) to be acquired during first year i.e. 2013- 14 in subsequent years, (00,000 laptops/ convertible laptops will be acquired each year, totalling to 525,000 or more over next five years (i.e. 2013 —2018). SEC intends to explore the possibility of getting assembly line setup by an OEM for the production of these laptops locally Interested OEMs may obtain registered copy of E0i from Finance (Accounts) Office, Higher Education Commission, H-9, Islamabad on payment of Rs. 5001- on or before Tuesday Decembet 24. 2013.
