The Energy Department, Government of Punjab, has established Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Company (QA Solar) to develop a series of large-scale solar power projects in the province of Punjab. We are seeking to hire a team of top drawer professionals for QA Solar, offering highly competitive compensation packages, attractive incentives, and an opportunity to become part of a world leading solar infrastructure initiative. We plan to hire for the following positions: 1. SOLAR POWER PROGRAMME DIRECTOR (01 position, Age Max. 55 years) A mature professional with over 08 years of project management and/or business development experience in technology intensive fields, including experience in the renewable energy sector, to build and lead a team for the planning and implementation of large ground mounted solar electricity projects in Punjab, Pakistan. The following skills are being sought: • Expertise in programme and project management methods • In-depth understanding of solar electricity technology and photovoltaic systems • Knowledge of the main components of a solar electricity project • Project planning, capital budgeting, and managerial accounting • Experience in technology systems integration and infrastructure development • Experience with new ventures/start-ups • Management of diverse stakeholders, including public sector relationships • Ability to prepare business plans, RFPs, PPAs, and other project management documents • High degree of quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modelling • Team building and mentoring • Multi-cultural sensitivity • Proven track record of working under pressure and meeting ambitious deadlines • Willingness to work in challenging geographical environments • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software packages Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences. An MBA or additional education in economics/finance would be preferred. 2. SOLAR POWER PROJECT MANAGER (01 position, Age Max. 45 years) A seasoned project manager to support the programme director in the accelerated roll out of ground mounted photovoltaic projects. The candidate should have an experience of over five years in the management of technology related projects, including the renewable energy sector. The following skills are required: • Hands-on experience and expertise in project management • Ability to define and monitor a solar electricity project • In-depth understanding of electrical energy technology • Ability of techno-economic calculations • Financial planning, analysis, and monitoring • Performance management, including planning of key performance indicators • Multi-disciplinary team management • Fluency in Gantt Charts, Work Breakdown Structures, planning of Task Interdependencies • Change management, troubleshooting, and problem solving • Risk management planning • Willingness to work in challenging geographical environments • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer skills Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree in Engineering or the Natural Sciences. Additional education in economics /finance would be desirable. 3. TECHNICAL OPERATIONS MANAGER (01 position, Age Max. 45 years) A highly skilled technical expert in the field of solar electricity who can plan and oversee the implementation of photovoltaic projects from inception to completion. The following skills and qualifications are being sought for: • In-depth knowledge of photovoltaic systems and the industry supply chain • Understanding of each component of a photovoltaic system • Experience in photovoltaic systems integration • Ability to plan a photovoltaic deployment in full detail • Techno-economic analysis and estimations of photovoltaic projects • Willingness to work in challenging geographical environments • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer skills Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree in Engineering or the Natural Sciences. 4. TECHNICAL OPERATIONS ENGINEER (01 position, Age Max. 35 years) An ambitious graduate with an aptitude for solar electricity and renewable energy projects is required. The following skills and attributes are in demand: • Coursework in electrical power engineering • Knowledge of solar electricity technology and supply chain • Internships or hands-on experience in electrical power projects • Experience of working in project teams • Willingness to work in challenging geographical environments • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer skills Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree in Engineering or the Natural Sciences with a top percentile academic record. 5. FINANCE MANAGER (01 position, Age Max. 45 years) A qualified expert in all aspects of financial management, preferably with a background and at least 05 years extensive experience in technology related industries. The following skills and capabilities are required: • Developing detailed financial models for complex projects • Financial forecasting, accounting, and auditing, preferably experienced in both the private and public sectors • Capital budgeting and managerial accounting • Ability to maintain and refine solar electricity financial models Educational Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in finance or Graduate degree in finance or economics with an advanced professional qualification in finance. 6. PROCUREMENT MANAGER (01 position, Age Max. 45 years) A qualified person with 05 years' experience of procurement in public or private sector. The candidate is expected to play a role in the commercial negotiations and structuring of substantial procurement contracts. The following skills and capabilities are required: • Familiarization with Public Sector Procurement Rules, Procedures etc. • Structuring large-scale procurement contracts, particularly the fulfilment of public sector regulatory approvals and procedures • Commercial negotiations, preferably an experience with international vendors • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer skills. Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree however preference will be given to the candidates having Master's degree.
