Engro Powergen has established a combined cycle power plant of 220 MW output near Qadirpur Gas Field in District Ghotki (Si ndh). We are looking for highly motivated individuals in following categories to operate and maintain plant to the international standards.

Operation Coordinator (Shift In-Charge) Job description: Responsible to run plant safely, srnootNy and efficiently according to best practices adopted internationally. Prudently employs PPA/GSA, Safety rules and Operating procedures. Will be responsible for training and development of staff and liaising with outside agencies. Candidate must have good experience of coordinating short/tong term maintenance plans; should be capable of providing supervision to staff in problem solving and trouble shooting and be well versed with Grid code and HV Switching.
Candidate must have acquired BSc. Engineering/BE in ElectricaVMechanical/Electronics from an HEC/PEC recognized University and must have acquired eight to ten years of experience in operation of a thermal power plant including 4 - 5 years in CCGT. Should not be more than 38 Years of age.
Operation Supervisor (Unit Operators) Job Description: Capable of operating a CCGT unit safely and efficiently; must be experienced in safe startup/shut down of a combined cycle unit within dispatched target; should be capable of handling trouble shooting and taking corrective actions timely at his own. Should be able to demons/rate flexible approach in operating techniques with focus on improvement in efficiency and reliability of plant.
Candidate must have acquired Ei.Tech/DAE/Boiler First Class Engineering qualification from a recognized institution and eight to ten years of hands on experience of operating a thermal plant including five to six years in a combined cycle plant. Should not be more than 313 Years of age.
Maintenance Engineer for Electrical Department Well conversant with a safety system at power-plant
Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a well reputed University. 4-7 years of relevant experience.
Key Skills Safety • Can demonstrate importance of safety culture and application of safety rules in power plants. • Would be responsible for training of staff and developing operating procedures. • Required to work safely and also ensure safety of team members and plant equipment, within standard policies and procedures.
Technical - Electrical Engineer Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Experienced in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment at power plant. • Hands-on experience of preventive/corrective maintenance and trouble-shooting on equipment like air-cooled generators, diesel generators, power transformers, motors, Numerical Protection relays (ABB / GE experience preferred), Excitation system (E)<2100 preferred), HV/ LV / SF6 switchgear (ABB experience preferred), UPS and DC system. • Practical knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, motor control UPS systems. • Knowledge and experience of applicable standards and codes, especially NEPA70E. Good knowledge on controls systems will be considered a plus.
All positions are based at the Engro Powergen Qadirpur Plant. Interviews are to be held in Qatar and Dubai, shortly.
