BALOCHISTAN SMALL SCALE IRRIGATION PROJECT GOVERNMENT OF BALOCHISTAN QUETTA
INVITATION TO BID
The Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, represented by the Government of Balochistan, has received a credit (Cr: No: 4387-PAK) from the International Development Association (IDA)) of the World Bank towards the cost of Balochistan Small Scale Irrigation Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments for the Procurement, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, and Operation 8 Maintenance of Digital Electric Well Logging System and Water Well Data Transmitters, on the identified tube wells within the ambit of the Quetta Sub-Basin.

2 The Government of Balochistan, represented by the Project Director, Balochistan Small Scale Irrigation Project, of the Department of Irrigation, invites sealed Bids from the reputed suppliers/service providers, who must be registered for General Sales Tax and acquired National Tax Number, to participate in the bidding competition for the above mentioned assignment. The prospective suppliers should be a manufacturer or a direct authorized agent of the manufacturer of required equipment in Pakistan. 3. The Bidding Documents, inclusive of detailed specifications of the equipment to be supplied and terms and conditions of the contract are readily available and may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of Pak. Rupees three thousand (Pak Rs.3,000/-) for each set at the address below. Bidding will be conducted through NCB procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits — 2006 and the provisions in the Bidding Documents are the provisions of Standard World Bank Bidding Documents. 4. Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by prescribed bid security (ie. 2% of the Quoted Amount) in shape of Payment Order in the name of the Project Director, BSSI Project. Sealed Bids must be delivered at the address below on or before 12.00 noon, on .! 8.. 111-21)1.; . Bids received will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend. Further information, if required can also be had by calling at 081-2870705. 5. The firms participating in the Bidding are required to submit with their bids. qualification information specified in the bidding documents. These information shall be used to establish through post-qualification as to whether they are eligible/competent to perform the work. Bids are required to be submitted on item rate basis and the rates and amounts (in Rupees) must be filled by the bidder for each item in the Bill of Quantities and provide a total price. Since negotiations are not allowed once the bids are opened the participating bidders are expected to offer their most competitive rates. 6. In accordance with the provisions of the bidding documents, firms involved in corrupt or fraudulent practices (including pooling/collusion) will be declared ineligible, either-indefinitely or for a stated period of time, for award of a World Bank financed contract. 7.
